Rocky Cajigan is a visual artist and writer currently based in La Trinidad, Benguet, Philippines.
As an artist working in painting, installation, and assemblage, they continue to explore material culture, indigeneity, and museology. They examine the privileges, dangers, and insecurities their indigeneity holds in the formation of an identity.
In most of their works, they interface material cultures and its processes of creation and what new meanings can become of it. In making work, whether in the composition of objects or in acrylic painting, research is the overarching origin. Often, the research extends towards ethnography or collaboration.
