“If a revelation is made to another sitting there, let the first be silent.”

                                                                                       (1 Corinthian 14:30)

As the old saying goes “God made man, because he liked to hear a story.”  Throughout human history, man has not failed in delivering these fascinating stories.  One powerful and effective worldview and moral shaping story telling is in the form of myth making – where the fantastical meets the grounded human characterization.  From Hesiod, Homer and other Greek poets and writers, these myths were expressed through literature, but in the modern era, myth making has transmuted and increased its vitality through visual representation of modern stories.

Jason Montinola’s “Harbingers” is a part of the artist’s modern myth-making and world building catalogue of characters.  Montinola blends his distinct style of portraiture to his unique images and surrounds them with proper mythology that bridges the gap between perception and reality.
