Dominic Mangila presents a solo exhibition titled “Pastures of Plenty” which features a new series of works that combines history painting and meta-narrative. The subject of this series of figurative and landscape paintings is the “Manong Generation” (Filipino immigrant farm workers in the United States in the early 20th century). The title of the exhibition is culled from the song of the same title by Woodie Guthrie which describes the travails and dignity of migrant workers in North America.
