From its title, the first solo exhibition of Ryle Russell operationalizes the visual and philosophical logic of his painting practice. His present suite of oil and acrylic on canvas works derives its imagery from what he views as a “mythology of perception,” essentially his studies of cognition as it is configured by his interests and the energies that surround him.
