DengCoy Miel (b 1964) is a visual artist who is into inquiry systems that challenge trajectories of an idea into the physical. He is constantly exploring its materiality, its catalytic and propulsive nature extruded as it were on substrates other than paper or canvas.
His almost reflexive approach to artmaking, a curious miscellany of ordinary, obscure and possibly esoteric elements, allows him to treat them with catachrestic intent resulting in contradictions that posit fresh, hopefully valid and valuable questions and answers.
